The aircraft is insured, the passengers are insured – but what about the Pilot? Onrisk has launched this policy to close that missing gap for Pilots themselves.
Comprehensive Insurance - what does it cover?
Onrisk Pilot Comprehensive Insurance covers accidental bodily injury to Pilots in connection with flying private aircraft. The policy also covers loss of life to an agreed sum per individual Pilot, and liability for accidental bodily injury to third parties or to property caused by the Pilot. The insurance is comprehensive and covers the named Pilot for flying all listed aircraft specified by the Pilot. Pilots must also satisfy themselves over the Airworthiness of private aircraft they intend to fly. The policy does not cover Pilots of helicopters, or Pilots of any commercial aircraft.
This is annual Pilot Comprehensive insurance cover for
- Accidental bodily injury in respect of the consequences of one or more Accidents to the Pilot as per the Schedule
- Pilot life insurance in respect of flying the aircraft in the event of the death of the Insured whilst flying, mounting and dismounting the aircraft.
- Liability for accidental bodily injury to third parties and accidental loss of or damage to property arising out of an accident caused by the insured Pilot.
Please note this is only a summary of the cover provided. Full detail of the cover is available in the Key Facts Document and Policy Wording which are available on request.
